Overview:

Covering hundreds of millions of years in a day…we will visit key moments in the metamorphic history of Rhode Island as we tour some of the protected state parks and lands (Brenton Point State Park, King’s Beach, S end of the Cliff Walk in Newport; Beavertail State Park and the public access coastline near Hull St. in Jamestown) and close with an unusual staurolite schist locality. Note: minimalist collection is allowed at the staurolite schist locality.

Note: The trip is ~40 minutes from Fisherman's Campground and the Kingston Campus. Please plan accordingly
